Alyssa’s service dog and Petsmarts treatment.

Our service dog in training went to #Petsmart Hotel (Eden Prairie) Dog day camp for a 3 hour play date. He is 8 months old.
When I went to pick him up, they told me he was at the animal hospital because he had gotten a good size gouge in his hind leg, The vet said he needed to be sedated and get 6 staples. PetSmart said they dont know what happened they would review the cameras and get back to me, Its day 2, I went in today to get copies of any paperwork we signed and see what happened since I havent heard back. I was told we never signed a master agreement (releasing petsmart from any liability) and that they viewed the tape and saw that no other dogs were near his hind legs. So what happened then?
My husband called to get more info and now PetSmart hotel will not speak with us regarding this any longer and told us to get a lawyer. Really?
My daughter is a wreck.

We have finally been contacted with 4 different stories from Petsmart employees.
1) The video showed no dogs near his hind leg or bites.
2) The video showed Rizzo mounting another dog and getting bit.
3) there is no video
4) (legal team) Sorry there is a video and we watched it and it appears he was bit behind a pole you cant really see behind.

Will they let me see the video for myself to see what really happened to Rizzo? No they refuse. This leads me to believe something else happened to my dog. Im still fighting this fight. Alyssa wants to know whats wrong with her dog. Im going to get answers.

Alyssa’s K-9 Kitchen

Well, Alyssa has been hard at work these days.

She got an offer back in March this year to sell her Dog Biscuits in 2 sewing stores here in the cities. We met the store owners one day when I was getting my sewing machine fixed and when I went to pick it up Alyssa had come with me, she brought with her a bag of her dog treats because she knew they had an in house dog there. She got to tell the store owner about her biscuits and why she sells them, Also that she has Autism. It wasn’t a huge conversation on her part so I stepped in as always to explain it a little more. Comes to find out the store owner has a son with Asperger’s.  (Who would have thunk?)

Well, one day in March I got an email from his wife, she said they talked about some things and that Alyssa really touched their heart and they wanted to help. SO they offered to sell her dog biscuits in their two sewing stores.

We put together a display and got to making those biscuits. Alyssa was so pleased and so excited to be able to fund more money for her donation for the local K-9 unit.

Below is her second batch of Dog Biscuits for the sewing stores, 10 bags of Chicken flavor and 14 bags of Peanut Butter flavor.

Thank you Valley West Sewing Center for your generosity and love for her fundraising and cause. You have put a smile on her face just knowing you are helping.

Weekend for me!

This weekend was eventful and relaxing. I was super absorbed in making it mine and I did just that. Saturday I woke and was ready for the day, I got my little one dressed and forced the hubby to also get his man clothes on and traveled to IKEA.. Yup its one of my favorite stores.. So anyways We went for a light and came out with a light and a chair. See below:

Yes that is the chair.. Now this chair must be something pretty special since I bought it. It fits perfect in the space I had to fill and it is so comfortable to sit in that I have now dubbed it my NEW crochet chair.. More of less it is my corner. Well this is what I thought anyways. If you look at this picture you will see that my dog “Buddy” has positioned himself right in the middle of MY very comfortable chair. He seems to really like it right? Boy is he mistaken.. Yes, yes he can sit in it when I am not in it I don’t have a problem with that at all but if he thinks this is his chair he has another thing coming..

SO on to the next dilemma, See below:

There it is, my chair in its nice little corner space waiting for me to have my yarn basket organized so I can move on over and sit in it… Oh no,, not the case again, as you can see “Alyssa” seems to have taken it over. She even put a pillow in it so she can maneuver herself just right so she can see the TV at the right angle. Well this just wont do. Now I must sit back and think of ways to make the chair unwanted by both the dog and my little girl so I can assure that It will always be available to ME! Any ideas are much appreciated and I wont judge if you don’t!

I also did in fact enjoy time watching Downton Abbey and I made it to the end of the second season. I do really like the show and even set the DVR to record season five so I can catch up when I get to that point. While enjoying my new series I worked on the child’s blanket and find myself ending the weekend at 1/3 finished. Very exciting.
